OUR HISTORY

We are redefining the standard of security in the UK and beyond.

Time for a higher standard of security

Pathway came into being in the aftermath of the Manchester bombing. The tragedy of that day galvanised our belief that security needed to evolve fast to face emerging threats. And that military expertise should play a critical role in reshaping what individuals and institutions should come to expect from those that are there to protect them.

So, in 2017, we set up Pathway with a clear purpose: to provide a singular degree of resilience to the threats facing public and private organisations whatever the scale, scope, or location of a project.

OUR VALUES

  • The calibre of people Pathway employs means inappropriate behaviour by security staff is never an issue. On the frontline or behind the scenes, our teams always act with integrity. We have built enduring relationships with our clients and the trust they place in us as an organisation extends to all our contractors.

  • In the army there’s a culture of ‘do what you ought, not what you want.’ This mindset, shared by all our team members, is the foundation for our self-discipline as individuals – and our organisational discipline as a company. It is the bedrock for efficient, effective operational outcomes and it all stems from our duty to protect.

  • We stay composed and rational under pressure because resilience is something we specifically look for in our people. It is built into every part of our risk management process and within our own organisation. Our teams never fail to remain calm in a crisis, and they always bring order to chaos.

WHAT DIFFERENTIATES US?

Implementing the ethos of military command

The essence of military command is ‘centralised intent, decentralised command’ and this concept is integral to our methodology. In practice, it means that Pathway teams understand our clients’ vision, their protocols and their expectations – while having the authority and ability to respond quickly to threats in fast-moving situations on the ground.

Creating value for our clients

Changing the perception of security

The first person someone encounters when entering an event is security. Their demeanour sets the tone for your event and your organisation. It is a reflection of your brand. Our people are as compassionate as they are capable, bringing warmth and humour to everyday interactions. To put it plainly, we understand the power of ‘hello’.
